Find your fit.

Who's getting in, whether you want a lounger, and what your backyard can plug into. That's most of the decision.

115 V or 230 V?

A 115 V spa plugs into a standard outlet on its own circuit — no electrician. A 230 V spa needs a dedicated connection installed by a licensed electrician, and in return heats faster and runs stronger pumps. Neither is wrong; it depends on what you already have.

How many people will usually use the spa?

What the numbers don't say. Jet count is not comfort. The 630L's thirty jets are arranged around a lounger for one or two people; the 744B's forty-four are spread across seven open seats. If you can, sit in both at the showroom — dry — before you decide.

Keep the water inviting.

A hot tub is a small body of hot water that a few people share. Kept in balance it stays clear, comfortable and gentle on the equipment; the routine is short, and every step has one SpaBoss product that does the job.

Winter ownership

Your best season starts when the temperature drops.

A hot tub in February is the whole point. It asks a little more of you than it does in June: test before each soak, rinse the filter weekly, and watch these six things.

Keep the water moving

Circulation is what stops water freezing in the plumbing. Leave the spa powered and heated all winter; if a storm knocks the power out for more than a few hours in deep cold, call us.

Check the water level

Steam and splash-out lower it faster in the cold. If the level drops below the skimmer or the jets suck air, the pump can lose prime — top up with a hose, then test and rebalance.

Brush the snow off gently

Use a soft brush or a broom, never a shovel, and clear the cover before it becomes a slab of ice. A cover lifter means you never drag a wet cover across the deck.

Protect the cover

Close it properly every time — the clips matter in a wind. A vinyl protectant in the fall keeps the skin supple through freeze-thaw.

Plan the water change

Most owners change water every three to four months. Do it in late fall or early spring, not January: an empty spa in deep cold is at risk. Pool Busters can drain and refill for you.

When to call Pool Busters

Error codes on the keypad, a heater that can't hold temperature, a pump that hums but doesn't move water, or a power outage in a cold snap. Don't wait — in winter, a stopped spa becomes a frozen spa.

Need help with your spa?

The same technicians who open and close Niagara's pools look after its hot tubs — from a seasonal drain & refill to a heater that won't hold temperature, or a power outage in a cold snap.

All hot tub questions (16)

How do I choose a hot tub?

Start with who will use it and how often. Two people most evenings want a lounger and a compact footprint; a family or hosts want open bench seating. Then decide on power: 115 V plug-and-play if you'd rather not run new electrical, 230 V if you want faster heating and stronger jets. Our Find Your Spa questions get you to a shortlist in a minute, and the showroom settles the rest — sit in them dry.

How many people should my spa seat?

Buy for how you'll use it most nights, not for the one party a year. Seat counts assume adults sitting shoulder to shoulder; two people in a five-seat spa have room to stretch out. A lounger uses the space of about two seats.

When should a spa filter be replaced?

When it no longer comes clean, the pleats are frayed or an end cap is cracked, or the water won't clear after a proper clean. In regular use that is typically every year or so; hard well water and heavy use shorten it.

Do you carry Equinox replacement filters?

Yes — and the right cartridge depends on the model year, not just the model. Use Find My Equinox Filter with your model and year; if the cartridge isn't on the shelf we order it. Bring the old one in if you're unsure.

What if I don't know my hot tub model?

Look for a label inside the equipment door or on the cabinet near the control pack; it usually carries the brand, model and year. Failing that, a photo of the whole spa from above and of the label plate is enough for us to identify most spas.

Can hot tubs be used throughout winter?

Yes — for many owners winter is the whole point. Keep the spa powered and heated, keep the water moving, test a little more often, brush snow off the cover gently, and plan water changes for milder weather. If the power is out in deep cold for more than a few hours, call us.

Request pricing, book a visit, or just ask.

One short form. If you used Find Your Spa or the filter finder, what you chose comes with it — no need to repeat yourself.
