Opening Checklist

• Remove water/debris from cover
• Drain water bags
• Clean cover
• Clean Waterbags
• Descend all brass anchors
• Fold and store cover
• Remove all winterizing plugs
• Remove all expandable foam
• Replace return jets
• Replace skimmer weir
• Replace skimmer basket
• Replace pump and filter drain plugs
• Pump Strainer Basket
• Replace pressure gauge
• Connect and tighten all unions/ball valves
• Ensure all alligator clamps are tight
• Inspect pump and union gaskets
• Connect salt system (do not turn on)
• Connect automatic chlorinator
• Test pump for actuation
• Set filter to "filter"
• Install paper cartridges and tighten filter clamps
• Assemble diving board
• Replace ladders, rails, tighten wedges
• Fit lights into niche
• Check lights are functioning
• Pressure wash deck
• Pressure wash waterline
• Pressure wash rails, ladders, diving board
• Pressure wash stairs
• Add opening kit
• Activate pump if water level in pool is sufficient
• Ensure there are no leaks in plumbing if pump is left running
• Connect unions on heater
• If a millivolt heater (non electronic) reaffix the pressure sensor
