What a fitted cover actually changes
A safety cover is anchored into the deck and tensioned across the pool, so it holds its shape all winter instead of sagging into the water. That one difference is where every other benefit comes from.

Premium High Density Mesh uses a tighter weave to reduce the amount of fine debris and sunlight that can enter the pool while continuing to drain rain and melting snow naturally. It offers the same dependable safety strength and lifetime pro-rated workmanship warranty as Standard Mesh.

How availability works
Premium High Density Mesh is built on a 3×3 grid only, and is priced 20% above the equivalent 3×3 Standard Mesh cover. A 5×5 cover is always Standard Mesh. If you choose Premium and then switch to 5×5 in the estimator, we set the material back to Standard automatically and tell you why — you will never be quoted a cover CoverWerx cannot build.

Your pool decides what's available
Not every shape and size supports both grids. Rather than promise you a choice we might not be able to build, the estimator reads what CoverWerx actually offers for your exact pool and only shows the grid step when both are genuinely available. Everything else is set to 3×3 automatically, and it tells you so.
Diagrams are schematic — they show relative webbing density, not your pool's actual layout.

One thing worth being clear about
Premium is not the safer cover. Both meshes are built to the same CoverWerx safety strength, with the same hardware and the same warranty. What you pay the extra 20% for is finer filtration, less sunlight reaching the water, and the denser premium material — not a stronger cover.

Occasionally an anchor is seized, cracked or missing. Removing and resetting one is more work than installing a new anchor from scratch, so it carries its own rate.
When it applies: Only for the anchors that genuinely need it. If you don't know the count, we confirm it on site rather than charging for a guess.

Full seasonal closing — blowing the lines, treating the water and shutting the equipment down.
When it applies: Available on its own, or at a reduced rate when it's booked alongside cover work.

Looking after it
Nine habits that decide how long it lasts
None of this is difficult, and most of it takes minutes. But several of these items are also warranty conditions — the water level one in particular — so they are worth reading once properly.
- Maintain the pool-water level according to CoverWerx requirements. Never allow it to drop more than 15 inches below the top of the pool deck — this is a warranty condition, not just advice.
- Do not expose the material to excessive concentrations of pool chemicals.
- Inspect straps, springs, anchors and wear points each season.
- Remove leaves and excessive debris using methods appropriate for mesh safety covers.
- Do not drag the cover across abrasive deck surfaces.
- When removing it, clean and fully dry the cover before it goes away.
- Remove the springs and buckles when required for manufacturer service.
- Fold the cover carefully and store it elevated, in the supplied storage bag.
- Have damaged straps, hardware or anchors inspected before reinstalling the cover.
What not to do
Don't pressure wash the cover, and don't reach for harsh cleaners or chemical treatments unless CoverWerx has specifically approved them. A cover that has been cleaned the wrong way looks fine for a season and then doesn't. If you're unsure, ask us before you try something.
Warranty
Lifetime Protection, Explained Clearly
CoverWerx provides a lifetime pro-rated warranty to the original purchaser against defects in workmanship. Both Standard Mesh and Premium High Density Mesh carry exactly the same coverage.
"Lifetime pro-rated" does not mean a free cover forever
We would rather you understood this before you buy than after. If a qualifying workmanship defect is confirmed, you pay a share of the cover's cost — and that share grows with each season you've had it. In the first season there is no charge. By the seventh season your share is 80%. The schedule below is the whole picture.

Your percentage is calculated on the current year's retail price at the time of repair or replacement — not on what you originally paid. For warranty purposes the safety-cover season ends 30 April each calendar year.
What the warranty requires
- Coverage applies to the original purchaser.
- Proof of purchase and the cover's serial number are required.
- CoverWerx must inspect the cover and confirm a qualifying defect.
- CoverWerx may repair or replace the cover at its discretion.
- Freight charges for repair or replacement are the customer's responsibility.
- The cover must be returned clean and dry.
- Springs and buckles must be removed before a cover is returned.
- Proper seasonal storage in the supplied bag is required.
- The cover should be stored elevated and in its storage bag.
What it does not cover
- Damage resulting from improper installation, use or handling.
- Premature deterioration caused by excessive chemical exposure.
- Damage caused when the pool-water level drops more than 15 inches below the top of the pool deck.
- The cover is intended for seasonal use, or use while you are away — it is not designed to be installed and removed as an everyday cover.
Keep your paperwork
Final warranty decisions are made by CoverWerx, not by Pool Busters. Hold on to your invoice and your serial-number information — without them a claim cannot be processed, however clear the defect. We keep a copy on file too, but yours is the one that counts.

Weave density, and what that changes. Standard Mesh has a more open weave, so it drains rain and meltwater faster and is lighter to handle. Premium High Density Mesh is tighter, so it filters more fine dust and sediment and lets less sunlight reach the water — which can help limit algae growth and support a cleaner spring opening.
What does not change: both are built to the same CoverWerx safety strength, with the same core hardware and workmanship, and both carry the same lifetime pro-rated workmanship warranty. Premium is not the stronger cover. Premium is priced 20% above the equivalent 3×3 Standard Mesh cover.

CoverWerx builds its mesh in five colours: Black, Blue, Taupe, Green and Grey. All five are available in both Standard Mesh and Premium High Density Mesh, so choosing a density never limits your colour.

That's the webbing grid, which is a separate decision from the mesh. A 5×5 grid uses a wider layout with generally fewer straps and anchors, giving a cleaner, less visually dense grid — and it's Standard Mesh only. Not every pool shape supports both. The estimator only offers you the grid step when both are genuinely available for your exact pool.
Usually, yes — that's the normal case for a replacement cover, and it's why a replacement is priced as a flat refit rather than a full installation. We don't charge you again for anchors you've already paid for. The anchors stay positioned around the pool so the same custom cover goes back on each season.
We replace just that one. Removing and resetting an existing anchor is more work than setting a new one, so it carries its own per-anchor rate. If you don't know how many need replacing, say so — we'll confirm the count on site rather than adding a number to your estimate that might be wrong.
Not necessarily, but it helps. If you still have the old cover or a template made from it, we don't need to charge for a custom measurement. Without one, a measure is required so the new cover is built to the right pattern.
Whenever there's no existing usable template to build from — which includes every first-time cover. Freeform pools, cut-outs and obstructions add measuring time and carry a small additional charge.
